Situated in the ancient and holy city of Ujjain (traditionally known as Avantika), the Bade Ganeshji Ka Mandir stands as a profound testament to faith, history, and spiritual grandeur. Located just a short distance from the legendary Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, this temple is a vital pilgrimage site for millions of devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha Puja.
The presiding deity of the temple is a magnificent, larger-than-life idol of Lord Ganesha, which gives the temple its name—“Bada” meaning large or great. However, the true spiritual significance of this temple lies in the extraordinary and sacred materials used to construct the murti (idol).
